The House Was Usual Enough

The house was usual enough; it had
A lawn, a garage, a car, a couch
Inside it, and even a big computer
I always play on.  My friends, my cousins and I
Did what mates do - lay in the warm sun
lounge, made huts and forts, dodged nerf bullets
In wars, stealthed like panthers around the property
in the bush at night,
Play video games, yelled or joked
Doing nothing important.
